Tim Whitener, ARA, is a Past President and Director of the Colorado Chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.

Tim was born and raised on an irrigated and livestock farm west of Olathe. He has 42 years’ experience with Farm Credit offices at Sterling, Grand Junction and Montrose as a trainee, loan officer, branch manager, chief credit officer and acting president. Tim practiced appraisal work during his entire tenure with Farm Credit and obtained the Accredited Rural Appraiser (ARA) national designation in 1979. He is still active on the family farm; with his agricultural background and a degree in Geology, appraising has been enjoying and a natural fit for Tim.

With the expanding appraisal business, Ryan was asked to join the profession. Having an agricultural background and having an avid interest in the outdoors, Ryan works primarily on farm and ranch appraisals. He and his wife, Kristin, have two boys; Landyn and Easton.

Heather is the Residential Appraiser with Whitener Appraisal. She grew up on the Western Slope and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Colorado State University. Heather and her husband are raising 4 children in our wonderful community of Montrose, CO. After spending eight years teaching and over 15 years coaching basketball and softball, Kylee has joined the appraisal team as a residential appraiser . Her initial degree is in biology and physics and decided to make the jump into the family business through a change in passion and to maximize more time with family. Her and her husband, Henry have 5 kids/step-kids together; Cohan, Emma, Daxten, Brecken, and Branson. They enjoy hunting, fishing, sports and all things outdoors.
